4 Reasons Why You Should Read Allerleirauh On August 22nd, Parliament House Press will release it’s first novel – “Allerleirauh.” It’s a fanciful and powerful retelling of a classic fairy tale. A king makes a promise to his dying wife that he'll only remarry a woman who possesses her golden hair. In time, the king's eyes are turned by his daughter. Realizing her father’s intentions, Princess Aurelia tries to trick him by requesting impossible gifts: dresses created by the sun, moon and stars, and a coat made of a thousand furs. But when he is successful, Aurelia sacrifices her privileged life and flees her kingdom, disguised by the cloak and a new name, Allerleirauh. She enters the safe haven of Saarland der Licht, where the handsome and gentle Prince Klaus takes her under his care. Hoping not to be discovered by her father’s courtiers, Allerleirauh tries to remain hidden under her new identity when she finds unexpected love with Prince Klaus, even though his arranged mar...

Update About My Books

Image
Hey There! It's been forever and a day since I've written anything on this blog, and it's honestly such a huge shame - being that I love to write when I have a topic! But I do have something really exciting to share (actually, quite a few things.) First, I have two book covers for two novels that'll be coming out this summer. While I don't have a definite date yet for my first contemporary novel "The Songs in Our Hearts," - I do have a beautiful cover to show you! And then, my pride and joy - "Allerleirauh" will be coming out on August 22nd 2017. This novel has been on a journey and seriously, I've . . . cherished the experience. While "The Songs in Our Hearts" is a super personal story for me, "Allerleirauh" has been something I've been working on for so long. (And when I say "so long" - I mean YEARS.) So first, let's show these babies off! Gorgeous, right? I'm super excited. I don't ...

Writing Wednesday: 4/13/2016

Image
Welcome to my first "Writing Wednesday." Now - I know it's not "Wisdom Wednesdays" like originally planned, but the reality of actually getting questions to answer, is - at the moment, slim to none. SO. To make this a little more fun for me, I thought about doing a "Writing Wednesday." I can share some of my unpublished writing - poems - etc. You can also request a theme for me to write about. But this is just a way of allowing you to see more than just "Allerleirauh" or "Seven Seeds of Summer." I could even show exclusive items from those published works! The sky is the limit in this case! For now, I thought to share the Epilogue of "Allerleirauh," which is not - at the moment - included in the novel that you can purchase on Amazon. I actually spent a lot of time contemplating an Epilogue but just never found the right ending. . Just as "Allerleirauh" was going on a book tour, I was inspired enough to f...

Book Tour!

Image
I had a great experience with my first book tour with "Bewitching Book Tours" - when I had just published "Seven Seeds of Summer." Now with "Allerleirauh," I felt it was even more important to do so with having no contacts, no sense of networking and really having no idea who to contact to get the book out to other readers and viewers. So, without further ado, You can find more information at Enchanted Book Promotions . I'm so excited, and I hope this helps to get "Allerleirauh" out to everyone! Keep tabs on "Allerleirauh" and the book tour! I'll be sure to post about it all that I can!

Movie Cast: Something Fun

Image
It's probably something that every writer kinda fantasies about. . . their novel becoming a movie. I've actually been thinking about this, only because I did the same thing with "Seven Seeds of Summer," so - I thought, what fun! I can do this with "Allerleirauh" too! Low and Behold - This is what I came up with! Top Row:   Mrs. Benson, Lord Crestwood, and Prince Klaus Middle Row: Aurelia Bottom Row:  Myriah, Lord Haven, and The King To be honest, William Moseley was a huge inspiration (from Peter Pevensie in Narnia) for Prince Klaus. When actually putting faces together, I thought twice about this at first, but he'll always be the real Prince Klaus to me. Mrs. Benson reminds me of Carlotta from "The Little Mermaid." Lord Crestwood is young and daring, and the Prince's closest friend. Lily James was truly another inspiration for Aurelia.. so I thought it only best to use her as well. Myriah is older than Aurelia, and more motherl...

Flattering Reviews

Image
I feel really lucky to be having the ratings that I've received so far. I feel really, very lucky. This morning, after receiving another email from a review swap that I've been participating in - and seeing the wonderful words of encouragement, I looked up to the ceiling and closed my eyes and kept saying "See Dad? See?" I might have lifted my phone up too - just in case he wanted to see. But I guess, in a way - he does. I wished so much that I could call him and say "Dad!! I'm getting all of these really great reviews, see?" Where-ever you are today Dad - just know that I'm doing this for you.Because even if you're not here anymore on earth, I still feel want to feel your pride inside my heart. So, with that said -- if you haven't had a chance to read "Allerleirauh" please - I encourage you to take a chance. It's a fairy tale - something simple and nice. In the years of war and tribulation, people found solace in f...
