December 2017 Update

So I just realized today that it's been a long time since I've updated ANYTHING on this website, and that's really horrible of me. Since I last posted on here, "The Songs in Our Hearts" reached a TOP 100 List on Amazon, making it an Amazon Best Seller! (Exciting, right?) Also, with the success of "The Songs in Our Hearts," the sequel, "The Songs We Remember," was accepted by 48Fourteen Publishing and will be coming at some point in 2018-2019! That's DEFINITELY exciting. I finished Book 1 of my "Between the Sea and Stars" world. I'm not really sure how many books will be in this duology / trilogy ... so I'm leaving it a bit open ended at this time. For now, book 1 has been written and accepted by Parliament House Publishing. I'm definitely excited to be bringing this very new and original mermaid story to all of you! "Blinding Night," the rewritten version of "Seven Seeds of Summer," hasn'

Official "The Songs in Our Hearts" Book Trailer

The wonderful Shayne Leighton created a wonderful Book Trailer for "The Songs in Our Hearts." Take a look at how marvelous it is! High school junior Charlie Blake has never seen anyone quite like Micah Jacobs in her small town of Grand Lakes. With his carefree spirit, rough-around-the-edges personality, and handsome grin, Charlie is transfixed. But Charlie's been burned before with her first crush, at the hands of an ex-friend and a cruel joke. Because of those scars, Charlie keeps her guard up when it comes to boys. But a class project - that may or may not involve kissing for the camera! - forces her to not only confront Micah, but her true feelings.  While prepping for the assignment, Charlie finds herself in Micah's car accompanied by the music of Journey, Elvis, The Cars, and Peter Gabriel. Between slushies, burning rafts, pizza, and great music, Charlie and Micah bond as she learns the importance of letting go of the past and opening herself to new pe

Writer's Wednesday! Author Interview: Jadie Jones

Image
It's been a very long time since I've featured an author on my blog (I think it's been well over a year and a half) but here I am again! Today, Jadie Jones - the author of the recently released "Wildwood," published by Parliament House Press - is here and was willing to answer some very fun questions in celebration of her book release!  Thank you Jadie for stopping by!  Let's just get right down to the interview!  Jadie Jones Jadie's Novels:   The Hightower Trilogy (formerly known as the Moonlit Trilogy)  Book #1 is now called Wildwood, and released 9/26/17.  Sequels will follow in quick succession. www.jadiejones.com www.facebook.com/jadiejones1 www.twitter.com/jadiejones1 www.pinterest.com/jadiejones1 www.instagram.com/jadiejones1 www.jadiejones.blogspot.com ____________________________  If you could go back and re-write a novel, or re-experience writing a novel of yours, which one would it be and why?:  This is a t

If My Characters in "Allerleirauh" were Lipcolors

Image
With the Fall Season officially here. . . I thought it might be fun to include some "fall" makeup fashion into my "Book-Writing" world!  If you love makeup like I do, it's always fun to try to replicate a "look" that a character might have worn in a movie, or in a show. Being that books don't really show-case "makeup" looks, I thought it might be fun to describe my characters as LIPSTICK colors!  So without further ado, this is how I envisioned my characters from "Allerleirauh" in a lip color!  ******************************************* The King:  Perversion (Urban Decay)  Black for how cruel and evil the "Mad King" is in "Allerleirauh."  The Queen Fire Down Below (Nars) It's almost a perfect "red-lip" lip color. Royal Red. . .  Lord Haven Heat (Metallized)  (Urban Decay)  Lord Haven (the right hand of the Mad King) is nearly as crazy as his s
